Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a Registered Nurse I for a 30-bed ICU in Tulsa, OK. Night shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., requiring critical care experience and ability to adapt quickly in a high-acuity environment.

The role focuses on employing the nursing process to assess and treat patients, document care steps, and support discharge planning under hospital policies. Not a new graduate position.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a high acuity/critical environment (excluding ER).
• Working knowledge of disease state management, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.
• Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
• Detail-oriented examination of clinical and numerical data.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Document the nursing process steps using proper medical terminology.
• Support discharge planning with referrals and patient education resources.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate.
• Contribute to performance improvement and staff education by attending in-services and completing variance reports.
• Exercise independent judgment in planning and minor decisions in a complex clinical setting.
• Work directly with patients and communicate with internal customers by phone or in person.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and staff to meet unit goals.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse I is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. This role requires utilizing the nursing process in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies/procedures to monitor and evaluate patient functional status.

Job Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to care for patients.
• Assess, organize, and complete patient care with consideration for patient age, cultural, and psychosocial factors.
• Document steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology.
• Address problems and progress toward goals.
• Facilitate patient discharge through timely, appropriate referrals and utilization of patient education resources, suitable to patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors.
• Collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate.
• Support unit/hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities by attending in-services, meeting unit education standards, and completing variance reports.
• Exercise independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.
• Work directly with patients and/or customers.
• Interact with internal customers via telephone or face‑to‑face.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff.

Schedule Notes

Shift: Nights 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

This position requires critical care experience and the ability to adapt quickly in a 30-bed ICU unit with an average of 12–14 patients.

Note: This is not a new graduate position.
