Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie is seeking a PRN RN caregiver to work nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The facility is a state-of-the-art acute care hospital with 177 patient rooms and a broad range of specialties.

The caregiver will provide direct nursing care, implement and revise care plans, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and educate patients and families. Minimum qualifications include RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and 1 year of critical care experience; BSN

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• One year of current critical care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Completion of a Critical Care Course or validated OJT for critical care settings

A PRN caregiver in this position works varying nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross
• One year of current critical care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Completion of a Critical Care Course or validated OJT for critical care settings

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification – if you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:
