Job summary

Axelon Services Corporation seeks an experienced ICU/ Neuro ICU RN for night shift coverage in New York. Responsibilities include delivering patient-centered care within Relationship Centered Care and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans.

Requirements include NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS, with 2+ years in Neuro ICU or critical care. EPIC experience is highly preferred; EVD/RAUMEDIC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• NYS RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years Neuro ICU experience with Neuro surgery/Stroke.
• Experience with EVD Lumber Drains, IRRAflow EVD RAUMEDIC preferred.
• Minimum 2 years critical care/telemetry experience.
• EPIC experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management.
• Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
• Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing.
• Role model the tenets of Relationship Centered Care through various patient care activities.
• Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.
• Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement process improvement strategies based on institutional, evidence-based procedures.
• Engage in formal and informal peer and institutional review processes.

Summary

• 7:00PM-7:30AM EOW/4th shift per month
