Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Panama City, FL. You will work the night shift (3x12 hour shifts per week) and supervise LPNs and CNAs while ensuring adherence to the care plan and safety policies.

The RN will perform assessments, develop individualized plans, coordinate discharge planning, and contribute to team education and quality patient care from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to first shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop an individualized care plan.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate patient information succinctly and accurately during team conferences.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program, prioritizing patient education based on identified needs.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Ensure continuity of care through effective communication regarding changes in patient status.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute positively to unit dynamics and participate in team building activities.
• Maintain effective communication with management regarding service needs and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibilities following the orientation period as needed.
