Job summary

Precision Scans is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU in Kansas City, Missouri. The RN will provide direct patient care, manage nursing processes, and communicate effectively with the medical team. Qualifications include a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS (within 30 days of hire), preferred BSN, and NIHSS certification. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and the ability to respond to changes in patients’ conditions. This position is full-time with shifts from 07:00 to 19:30 or 19:00 to 07:30.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid RN license.
• BLS certification required on hire and must be maintained.
• ACLS certification needs to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• BSN preferred and must obtain RN-C within 2 years of hire.
• PALS certification required within 30 days if floating to pediatric units.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

1. Current and valid state RN license
2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
3. Current ACLS 30 days upon of hire and maintain current.
4. Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred, RN-C w/in 2 years of hire.
5. PALS w/in 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients.
6. NIHSS Certificate
7. Will float to other units w/in scope (e.g. ED for holds, Tele/MS)
