Job summary

University of Mississippi Medical Center in Flowood, MS is seeking an RN I-Ambulatory - Part Time to provide nursing care in the ambulatory OB/GYN practice. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting.

You will coordinate scheduling, maintain records, and support patient and family education while collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, efficient and compassionate service. Valid RN license required; prior ambulatory experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license, current in Mississippi or a multi-state license.
  • Experience in ambulatory nursing and OB/GYN settings preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care procedures and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care via assessments, planning, and evaluating treatments.
  • Coordinate care within the practice and across health care settings.
  • Document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Support patient scheduling, records maintenance, and admissions processes.
  • Collaborate with case managers, home health, and other staff to coordinate services.
  • Mentor and onboard new staff; maintain patient confidentiality and safety.

To coordinate the operations of a clinical area including patient scheduling, maintaining patient records and managing the patient admissions process.
