Job summary

Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Inc. seeks an experienced registered nurse to serve as a liaison between ARH, physicians, patients, and hospital staff, promoting ARH services and coordinating care for hospitalized patients.

You will educate stakeholders, verify service appropriateness, and support referrals across the ARH network. Based in the Ashland area at King's Daughters Medical Center with occasional travel to St.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years of general nursing experience required.
• Home health and/or medical-surgical experience preferred.
• Crucial: current RN licensure in the state.

Responsibilities

• Maintains effective relationships with healthcare referral sources.
• Verifies appropriateness for ARH services and accepts requests.
• Provides case management oversight for ARH patients in inpatient settings.
• Educates medical community about ARH services and programs.
• Meets with discharge planners and social workers to coordinate care.
• Acts as liaison and advocate for ARH patients admitted to hospitals.
• Attends rounds and staff meetings to strengthen ARH presence.
• Assists with staff orientation and ongoing education.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the AVP Marketing Manager.
