Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care to an adult patient in the patient’s home in Alabama. The role involves seizure monitoring, medication administration, and assistance with ADLs, bathing, and grooming.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state where practice occurs.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates the plan of care and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes during changes in patient condition and reports to physician/supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed; documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning and care needs.

Shifts: Every Friday 8a-7p / Every other Sat/Sun 9a-7p.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
