Maxim Healthcare in the United States is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide in-home care to pediatric and adult patients in their homes. The role emphasizes delivering nursing care using the nursing process, coordinating the plan of care, and documenting interventions in the patient record.

Required is an active RN license for the state, a current health certificate, a PPD or chest X-ray, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state where you practice.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and/or services provided to client(s).
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient condition and reports changes to the physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies education, care coordination, and discharge planning needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable
