Maxim Healthcare in Dayton, Ohio is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide in-home care to pediatric and/or adult patients, delivering skilled nursing services in clients’ homes.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS, and health clearance; you will assess needs, administer medications, and coordinate care with families and prescribers. Competitive pay and benefits accompany flexible home visits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practice state (OH).
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Current Health Certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• PPD or Chest X-Ray current.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in home settings.
• Initiates care plans and revises as patient needs change with prescriber input.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed; monitors effectiveness.
• Documents progress and communicates changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Educates patients and families to support care coordination and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
