Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Canton, Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide in-home care for pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes.

Responsibilities include nursing process planning, care implementation, and coordination with prescribers, with a focus on medication administration and monitoring in home settings. Competitive hourly pay is offered, along with comprehensive benefits and support for families in the Canton area.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state where the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility RN contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in home settings.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient needs change with prescriber input.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient status.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Reviews plan of care and identifies care coordination and discharge planning needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required


• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change


• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals


• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor


• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention


• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.


• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).


• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.


• Current BLS card.


• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
