Job summary

ProMedica Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg Unit on days, full-time hours. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates, with responsibilities centered on direct patient care and collaborative teamwork.

The RN provides professional expertise, leads a nursing team, and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Michigan licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Michigan RN license.
• 25 hours of continuing education in the two-year period prior to license renewal, with at least 2 hours in pain and symptom management.
• Current CPR certification.
• Specialty certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care with an individualized written plan and ongoing evaluation.
• Assess, formulate nursing diagnoses, plan, implement and evaluate care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments as authorized by state licensure.
• Engage in unit-based quality improvement, safety initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Document patient status, interventions and outcomes in the electronic health record.
