Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala in Florida is seeking an experienced RN for the ER to join a night-shift, full-time team. A $10,000 sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance up to $5,000 are available for eligible candidates.

The role involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, administering medications, and documenting in the EMR. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, promote safety, and support clinical ladder advancement.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in nursing required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • RN licensure required.
  • BLS CPR certifications required.
  • ER nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self‑care strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
