Job summary

Evernorth Workplace Care, a division of The Cigna Group, seeks an RN Health Coach to support patients on wellness journeys from a Dallas-area home office. The role emphasizes stress and mood coaching, health education, and personalized action plans, with video or telephonic coaching and access to client programs.

You will collaborate with clients and matrix partners, drive clinical outcomes, and mentor new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• RN required with active, unrestricted license in respective state.
• Compact license or additional state licenses may be required.
• ACLS/BLS/CPR/AED Certification required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of RN experience in a hospital or provider office setting.
• High-speed internet and quiet home office in the Dallas area.
• Ability to work independently and travel to Dallas if needed for events.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer coaching and support via video and telephone focusing on stress, anxiety, depression and other challenges.
• Perform stress, anxiety and depression screening.
• Identify customer health education needs through targeted health assessment activities.
• Refer customers to other Cigna Evernorth clinical programs or client-specific programs as appropriate.
• Collaborate with customers to establish health improvement plans, set personalized goals, and support achieving those goals.
• Empower customers to participate actively in their health outcomes.
• Lead and support health and wellness promotional activities, such as group coaching and wellness seminars.
• Utilize biometric data and motivational interviewing to drive clinical outcomes.

Here's how you will support your patients on their wellness journey:

• Provide customer coaching and support, via video and telephonically, with a focus on stress, anxiety, depression and other challenges.
• Perform Stress, anxiety and depression screening
• Identify customer health education needs through targeted health assessment activities.
• Refer customer to other Cigna Evernorth clinical programs or client specific programs as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with customers to establish health improvement plans, set personalized evidence-based goals, and support customers in achieving those goals.
• Empower customers to become an active participant in their own health outcomes.
• Assist Customer in overcoming barriers to better health
• Lead and support a variety of Health and wellness promotional activities, such as group coaching, wellness challenges and Health related seminars.
• Utilize biometric values and motivational interviewing techniques to collaborate with customers to drive to improve clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with our matrix partners to support the overall health and wellness strategy for your aligned client(s).
• Understand and own a variety of clinical targets and outcome measurements.
• Develop action plans that drive clinical value for the customers and clients.
• Additional responsibilities in alignment with the scope of your certification or licensure
• Provide support in training or mentorship of new employees as needed

Expected Credentials to best serve your patients:

• Strong Clinical skills with at least 1 or more years of experience in health coaching, health education and health promotion
• RN required with active, unrestricted license in respective state, and ability to maintain
• Compact license or additional state licenses may be required, with ability to maintain
• Current ACLS/BLS/CPR/AED Certification
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
• At least 3 or more years of RN experience in a hospital or provider's office setting
• Highspeed internet and quiet office space in committed location
• High energy level, with dynamic presentation skills is required.

• Proven administrative abilities, with strong computer and software application skills.

Bonus points for :

• Behavioral Health experience, including stress reduction
• Master's degree in psychology or related field is preferred
• Chronic Disease Management experience
• NBHWC (National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach)
• Motivational interview training/experience
• Additional languages including Spanish

This role is virtual and will be performed in your dedicated home office local to Dallas Texas.
