Job summary

Baystate Medical Center, part of Baystate Health, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Women’s Health Care team in Springfield, MA. The role emphasizes independent care planning, triage, and patient education for complex gynecologic oncology patients.

The position requires Massachusetts RN licensure and BLS, with 2–3 years in nursing and oncology experience preferred. A sign-on bonus is available for external hires.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• 2–3 years nursing experience; women’s health/oncology preferred.
• OCN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop plans of care for complex patients.
• Triage and provide quality patient care with strong assessment and QA checks.
• Coordinate care pre/post procedures and chemo prep oversight.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatment.
• Establish and communicate plan of care with patient and team.
• Mentor new staff and ensure competency across the care team.
• Advocate for patients and families within ethical and regulatory standards.
