Job summary

TruCaring is seeking a Home Care Aide / Caregiver to serve clients in Geneva, IN 46740. You will work in clients' homes under a Registered Nurse who builds and reviews care plans with you on a set schedule.

You will provide personal care, assist with ADLs, mobility, meal prep, light housekeeping, companionship, and medication reminders as allowed. You’ll document care and maintain client privacy while supporting families and the care team.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with authorization to work in the U.S.
• DOJ Live Scan background clearance
• TB screening
• Entry-level training before first solo shift plus annual training
• Reliable transportation and valid IN driver’s license
• CNA or HHA certificate is a plus
• Physically able to assist with transfers and lifting up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and ADL assistance
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, ambulation
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Meal preparation and feeding as appropriate
• Light housekeeping related to client care
• Assist with laundry and changing bed linens
• Provide medication reminders as permitted
• Accompany clients to appointments and errands
• Observe and report changes to supervisor
• Follow care plan and agency policies
• Maintain client privacy, dignity and confidentiality
• Complete required documentation on time
• Maintain a safe and clean client environment
• Communicate professionally with care team
• Follow state regulations and company policies
