Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a registered nurse for a general care medical unit serving Chest and Medicine patients. The RN plays a key role in coordinating care, delivering education, and supporting multi-disciplinary teams within Mayo Clinic's Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Candidates should have RN licensure, a nursing degree, and strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills. The role requires flexibility across shifts; TN sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• One year of RN experience required.
• BSN within five years for some start dates post-April 2020.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a general care medical unit.
• Coordinate nursing care, patient/family education and transitions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team within Mayo Clinic Nursing model.
• Demonstrate leadership, critical thinking and quality improvement.
• Meet scheduling requirements including days/evenings/nights/weekends.
