Mission Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the K8 General Surgery Med-Surg Unit. You will provide leadership and deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced setting with complex recoveries.

The role emphasizes collaboration, clinical excellence, and timely medication administration while supporting patient education and smooth turnover. NC nursing licensure and BLS are required; BSN and specialty certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Required License/Certifications: RN licensure with North Carolina Board of Nursing, BLS
• Preferred Education: BSN
• Preferred Licenses/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty
• Preferred Experience: One year hospital nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to facilitate delivery of professional nursing care and supervise care and teaching of patients and family.
• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift; report changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and document care in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up steps.
