Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for General Medicine/Medical-Surgical with strong patient-centered care standards. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, follow established nursing models, and advocate for patients and families to ensure excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities include assessing patients on admission and each shift, administering medications, documenting care, educating patients and families, and responding to requests promptly.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients.
• Utilizes the nursing process to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors patient responses.
• Educates patients and families about condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.
