Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4 North unit, a 24-bed hematology/chemotherapy/clinical trials ward. You will deliver individualized, high-quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in alignment with hospital guidelines and the ANA code of ethics.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of inpatient hospital experience, Medical-Surgical nursing expertise, and strong patient service skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with 1 year inpatient hospital experience in a relevant setting.
• BSN/ASN from ACEN/CCNE accredited program with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent.
• FL RN license and BCLS certification required.

Summary To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. Registered Nurses use the nursing process to effectively plan and manage quality patient care. Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process. This is demonstrated in baseline and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated.

We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our 4 North unit. This 24 bed unit provides a dynamic working environment that cares for hematology, chemotherapy and clinical trials protocol oncology patients. Our nursing staff provides knowledgeable and skilled care within a unique interdisciplinary team. We offer chemotherapy certification classes and quarterly education workshops.

Position Highlights

• The Registered Nurse delivers individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• 1 year of inpatient hospital experience
• Medical Surgery experience as a registered nurse
• Good customer service for patient interaction

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice
• Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient
• Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice
• Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations

Credentials and Qualifications

• BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience
• FL RN License
• BCLS Certification

Salary Range

$36.63 - $54.93 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
