Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention.
• Perform physical exams and vital signs monitoring as required.
• Educate patients regarding mental health conditions and treatments.

Position Summary

The Staff Registered Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Required: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing; Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience:

A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred; minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure:

Currently RN licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing or valid Compact.

Additional Requirements:

Successful completion Handle with Care Training, Service Excellence Training, and CPR certification required. Certifications must be obtained during new hire orientation.
