Job summary

UAB Medical West Hospital in Hoover, AL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Freestanding ER to provide high-quality patient care during night shifts. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

You will administer medications, educate patients and families on health management, and maintain precise clinical documentation while contributing to a safe work environment. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama is required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Preferred: proficiency with EHR systems.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at UAB Medical West Freestanding ER, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring that all patients receive the best possible treatment and support. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote health and wellness, while also addressing any medical concerns that arise in the workplace. Additionally, you will be responsible for educating patients and their families about health management and preventive care. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, enhancing the overall well-being of employees and their families.

SHIFT:

Nights 7p - 7a

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS
• PALS

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
