Job summary

Wind Crest by Erickson Senior Living is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to promote, restore and maintain residents’ health by collaborating with providers and the interdisciplinary team. You will provide physical and psychosocial support to residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience as an RN.
• Experience in caring for seniors or senior cognitive impairment preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, internet and web applications.
• Experience with an electronic medical record is preferred.
• Must have an active RN license in the state where they will practice.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with residents and families using a consistent caregiver approach.
• Perform clinical duties in accordance with state nurse practice act and standards of practice.
• Promote resident independence by setting care goals and teaching residents/family members.
• Monitor resident clinical and care conditions and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with care associates to perform routine nursing care.
• Maintain infection prevention practices, administer medications, and follow orders.
• Develop and coordinate a holistic plan of care with interdisciplinary and neighborhood teams.
• Support resident preferences, routines, and choices in the EMR.
• Ensure documentation is current, accurate and timely.
• Participate in care conferences for designated residents as requested by Clinical Manager.
