Job summary

New Hope Community is seeking a Registered Nurse to support health care needs for individuals with I/DD in our residential and programmatic supports. You will implement medical treatments, mentor staff, and lead a team while maintaining flexible schedules and avoiding mandatory overtime.

Requirements include a NYS RN license, a valid NYS driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior clinical experience is preferred but training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State RN license.
• Clean/valid NYS Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
• Prior clinical, medical or surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to create and implement medical treatments for individuals in residence.
• Provide leadership by mentoring staff and individuals to foster a harmonious team.
• Make health-related decisions with confidence and speed.
• Support daily operations in a residential setting and participate in ongoing training.
