Job summary

Everwind Hospice in Billings, MT is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled nursing care for Home Health and Hospice patients in their homes. This role blends home care with hospice, offering autonomy and meaningful, patient-centered work across the continuum.

You will collaborate with a diverse interdisciplinary team, participate in program growth, and take part in on-call rotation while delivering compassionate end-of-life care and education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Montana
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance (mileage reimbursed)
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to home health and hospice patients in their homes and residential facilities.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers, chaplains, and hospice aides to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
• Administer medications, treatments, wound care, and other skilled nursing interventions.
• Provide symptom management and comfort-focused care for hospice patients.
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, medications, safety, and end-of-life care.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and communicate appropriately with the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and on-call rotation as assigned
