Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO, is seeking a Float Pool RN for weekend days (36 hours/week). This role offers sign-on bonuses: $5,000 for Graduate Nurses and $10,000 for Experienced Nurses.

You will provide patient care using the nursing process and coordinate with other departments to support Mercy's standards. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active RN license (Missouri or compact), and BLS certification.

• Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) or within 30 days of hire.

• Provide patient care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Float to units including ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, Med-Surg, and Acute Rehab as needed.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Adhere to Mercy Service Standards and ethical guidelines.

Utilizes the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patients care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patients' rights and confidentiality of patient information. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with the established guidelines of nursing practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the State Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics, and the Co-Worker Code of Conduct. Units you may float to based on experience:

ED, ICU, TCU, PCU, all Med-Surg units, and Acute Rehab.

Qualifications:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
