Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of the organization.

You will utilize the nursing process to plan and coordinate age-appropriate patient care, initiate and revise interdisciplinary plans, document thoroughly, and teach patients and families to guide them across the continuum of care. Precepting and other duties may also be required.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Act 34, Act 33 and Act 73 background clearances or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan and coordinate care for the appropriate patient age group.
• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary care plans based on assessments and orders.
• Completes comprehensive patient documentation per facility policies and regulations.
• Provides ongoing teaching to patients and families across the continuum of care.
• Supports development of students or new staff; may serve as a preceptor.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
