Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse for our Float Pool to care for adult patients in inpatient Medical-Surgical and ICU units. The role includes supporting the emergency department as needed, with emphasis on critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process from birth through the lifecycle, maintaining standards of practice, and coordinating care for all assigned staff to ensure high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Work within organizational policies and procedures and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to deliver quality nursing care.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
