Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Float Pool, delivering high quality inpatient care across Medical-Surgical and ICU units. You will work in a collaborative team, apply nursing processes, and support the emergency department when needed.

Applicants should have RN licensure in Georgia, BCLS certification, and a bachelor's degree preferred, with experience in hospital settings; strong critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork are essential for success in this

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia (Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure)
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required
• Advanced certification in specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care
• Function within organizational policies and procedures and demonstrate professional growth and accountability
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to deliver quality nursing care

Our inpatient division consists of Medical Surgical and ICU with the opportunity to assist the emergency department. Our nurses are at the forefront of advanced care, managing complex needs. Intensive Care has a 2:1 ratio and Medical Surgical has a 6:1 ratio. Our team emphasizes clinical excellence through critical thinking, prioritization, and teamwork. We take pride in hourly rounding, bedside shift reporting, and a culture rooted in professionalism and collaboration. Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
