Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse to support patient care using the nursing process to develop individualized care plans. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, document care, and mentor others as part of a system-wide float pool as needed.

The role requires a BSN, eligibility for a compact license, and 18 months of RN experience. You will contribute to quality, safety, and patient outcomes while advancing in a growth-oriented healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Education, Credentials, Licenses: BSN from an accredited School of Nursing
• If eligible, must have a Compact (multi-state) License in their primary state of residence
• Licensed to practice in the state of work
• Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses
• Focus of education promotes nurses’ ability to practice in clinical area assigned
• Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies, and competence in medication calculations
• Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures
• Able to critically think and problem solve in routine and emergency situations
• Competencies for assigned clinical area demonstrated and documented
• 18 months of clinical RN nursing experience
• Successful completion of preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to care, counseling, and health teaching of patients
• Develop and implement care plans for patients
• Determine nursing interventions to meet patient outcomes
• Maintain skills and knowledge in area of specialty
• Document care using Epic and related systems
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving in patient care
• Supervise and mentor licensed and unlicensed staff as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver care
• Float pool assignments to cover staffing needs as required
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to regulations
