Job summary

LE01 Phelps County Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care using the nursing process, with a focus on safety and quality.

You will follow policy on infection control, manage central lines, administer medications, and educate patients and families while collaborating with the health care team.

A Missouri RN license, BLS, and a year of experience are preferred; graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Missouri or Compact Licensure.
• BLS certification.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow hospital policy to ensure patient safety and optimal care.
• Maintain and care for central lines and prevent surgical site infections.
• Provide nursing care including medication administration and patient/family teaching.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Document all patient care activities and quality monitoring items.
• Communicate patient information to physicians and team members.
• Delegate appropriately while promoting teamwork.
• Educate patients and families to support health care outcomes.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and pursue continuing education.
