Job summary

Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, CA seeks an RN to join the Float/Flex Team delivering compassionate, high-quality care. You will apply the nursing process, lead care for assigned patients, and collaborate with physicians to review orders and monitor progress.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN with CA RN licensure and at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience; BSN is preferred, with CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float/Flex Team, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery while presenting a positive attitude and being reliable,

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide safe therapeutic care for patients: Assessment, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation
• Utilizes the nursing process to identify and meet educational and discharge needs of the patients.
• Identifies changes in patient's condition and intervenes appropriately.
• Provides patient care for a given patient assignment, either as a primary caregiver or by delegating and supervising as a team leader.
• Works collaboratively with physician. Reviews orders. Reports abnormal lab values and significant changes in patient findings.
• Works collaboratively with patients and family to establish a plan of care, which would include an assessment of psychosocial needs.

Job Requirements (Required)

• Associate Of Nursing ADN - Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience
• Registered Nurse: CA RN License
• Basic Life Support - CPR BLS, within 30 Days

Preferred

• BSN
• 2 years or greater recent periop experience as circulating and/or scrubbing RN
• or clinical nursing in Tele, CCU or ED
• Experience as RN in CVOR, Ortho, Neuro, General, Robotics, GYN, Advanced Endoscopy, Hybrid procedures andurology highly preferred
