Job summary

Community Mainstreaming Associates is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing oversight and clinical support in OPWDD-certified programs serving Nassau and Suffolk Counties, NY. The RN collaborates with families, physicians, and direct support professionals to ensure health needs are identified, addressed, and documented in accordance with CMA policies.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• BSN degree or higher.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessments, monitoring, and clinical oversight for individuals receiving services.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and policies.
• Coordinate medical appointments, follow-up care, and transitions of care.
• Maintain accurate, timely nursing and medical records.
