Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE seeks a Registered Nurse to provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and an inter-disciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

The role covers coordination of care, resident assessment, education, and various nursing interventions, with delegation to licensed and unlicensed staff as appropriate. The Nurse Practice Act and state standards guide practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in the applicable state; multistate licensure allowed where applicable.
• Maintains required department competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Collaborate with residents, family, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various nursing interventions.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed/unlicensed personnel within competency and job descriptions.
