Job summary

Merwick Post Acute and Healthcare Center in New Jersey is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for 8-hour shift positions on a per diem basis. Weekend coverage is required with shift differentials and daily pay options.

The RN will deliver skilled clinical care, monitor resident conditions, and develop care plans in line with physician orders and facility standards. Qualified candidates hold an active NJ RN license and BLS CPR certification, with strong assessment, communication, and documentation

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in New Jersey.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple residents simultaneously in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable standards of nursing practice and the physician’s plan of treatment, as well as the written plan of care.
• Follow and implement care plans developed by the Nurse Manager.
• Perform medication administration and treatments in accordance with the plan of care (POC).
• Monitor and assess residents’ conditions, promptly reporting changes to appropriate clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and high-quality resident care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and nursing regulations.
