BJC HealthCare is seeking a Surgical RN First Assistant (RNFA) to join the perioperative team at Christian Hospital. As a first assistant, you will work directly with surgeons to provide hands-on intraoperative patient care and collaboration with the perioperative staff.
The role requires 2–5 years of perioperative experience, an active RN license in Missouri, and CNOR/RNFA certification is preferred. A BSN is encouraged to apply, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and teamwork.

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
Contracted services providing assistance to the Surgeon in the Operating Room. Part of the Surgical team the Surgical Assistant has accepted responsibilities to work as a team member in the operating room.
Performs an expanded perioperative role as a first assistant to surgeons during surgical procedures in the operating room. RNFA works alongside the surgeon to provide direct patient care. Works as a professional colleague with the perioperative team and collaborates with the patient-designated support person, and other health care providers when making decisions to plan care.
