Job summary

The Agency for Health Care Administration seeks a Registered Nurse Specialist to conduct inspections of health care facilities using a standardized survey process. You will assess compliance for state licensure and Medicare/Medicaid certification, document findings, and prepare written reports.

The role may involve solo or team surveys and requires flexibility for travel, including potential overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a registered professional nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464 and two years of professional nursing experience required.
• Knowledge of nursing principles and patient care
• Ability to document findings clearly and write reports
• Proficiency with computer software such as Word and Outlook
• Ability to travel, including potential overnight travel

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of health care facilities using a standard survey process.
• Evaluate facilities for state licensure and federal Medicare/Medicaid certification requirements.
• Document findings and complete written survey reports.
• May perform surveys as an individual, team member, or team leader
