Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Nurse Extern to support patient care on the 8th floor. You will perform routine nursing duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with potential cross-training to serve as a Unit Secretary as unit needs dictate.

The role requires enrollment in an accredited ADN or BSN program, completion of at least the first semester, and eligibility to take NCLEX within 12 months after graduation. AHA BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of first semester of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• Has 12 months to pass NCLEX after graduating.
• AHA BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Perform routine duties caring for hospitalized patients under RN supervision.
• May be cross-trained to operate as a Unit Secretary as needed.
• Perform other duties related to the work described herein.
