Job summary

Carlin Springs Health & Rehabilitation in Arlington, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead the evening shift as RN Supervisor. You will supervise RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to ensure safe, compassionate care and timely documentation.

This role offers a sign-on bonus and daily pay options. Join our leadership team to mentor staff, coordinate with physicians and families, and maintain high standards of resident care.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia RN license in good standing.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills.
• Evening shift availability and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership and supervision during the evening shift.
• Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff.
• Ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and quality care.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Respond to clinical concerns and emergencies.
• Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure medications, treatments, and documentation are completed appropriately.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and other clinical needs.
• Address staffing and resident-care concerns.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Complete required documentation and shift reports.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Communicate important resident and staffing information to the next shift.

Requirements:

• Current Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Previous long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Dependable and able to work independently
• Compassionate and committed to providing quality resident care
