Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Los Angeles, CA, with night shifts on a 36-hour week and 12-hour shifts. Local pay is $66.00/hour (W2), with comprehensive benefits and opportunities in emergency care.

Responsibilities include triage, rapid assessment, stabilization, and caring for diverse patients in a high-volume ER, requiring CA license, BLS/ACLS, and trauma experience.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of one year ER experience in a Level 1 Trauma Facility serving a diverse metropolitan population.
• AHA, BLS Certificate, ACLS/PALS, NIHSS Certification
• MAB or CPI
• LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City)
• Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date
• Copy of PSV from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).

• RNs will provide rapid triage, comprehensive patient assessment, stabilization, trauma and medical resuscitation, and the simultaneous management of multiple high-acuity patients while demonstrating sound clinical judgment and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room RN

ER Nurse Duties & Responsibilities:

• RNs will provide emergency care in a high-volume, fast-paced environment serving a diverse patient population with trauma activations, medical emergencies, cardiac events, stroke alerts, psychiatric crises, and complex multi-system conditions across the full spectrum of acuity, from minor illness to critical resuscitation.
• RNs will provide rapid triage, comprehensive patient assessment, stabilization, trauma and medical resuscitation, and the simultaneous management of multiple high-acuity patients while demonstrating sound clinical judgment, advanced critical care skills, effective prioritization, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely, high-quality, life‑saving patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent Emergency Room experience in a Level 1 Trauma Facility serving a diverse metropolitan population.
• AHA, BLS Certificate, ACLS/PALS, NIHSS Certification
• MAB or CPI
• LA City Fire and Life Safety Card (must be LA City)
• Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date
• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
