Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire if performing moderate/procedural sedation.
• One year RN experience required or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program.
• BSN preferred
• Two years of recent RN experience preferred.

South Pointe Hospital Endovascular Surgery Department treats conditions affecting your blood vessels (vascular system) without making large incisions. Surgeons repair these vessels and remove blood clots to restore blood flow and prevent damage to your brain, heart, limbs and lungs. You will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care offering the opportunity to enhance the patient’s experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This position requires a caregiver who is empathetic, understanding and nurturing to ensure quality patient care and effective life-saving treatment.

A caregiver in this position days from 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with on-call requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform circulating functions, such as monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing the overall nursing care of patients before, during and after the procedure.

• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure and patient positioning.

• Prepare the Operating Room, surgical instruments and surgical equipment for use.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• If performing moderate/procedural sedation Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 6 months of hire
• One year RN experience required or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program.

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
• Two years of recent experience as an RN

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > than 75 pounds periodically.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
