Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within a 772-bed acute care hospital and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.

Required: Associate degree in nursing and Florida RN licensure; BLS/CPR certification. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and 2+ years RN experience. You will work under the Nursing Department and support TMH’s mission and ICARE values.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an RN in Florida in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from an AHA instructor.

Responsibilities

• Provides care through collaboration with the healthcare team and autonomous nursing process.
• Leads, mentors, and role models for other members of the healthcare team.
• Coordinates and delegates care in a safe, secure, and clean environment.
• Demonstrates respect for patient rights, dignity, confidentiality, and expressed needs.
• Follows TMH policies, procedures, and ICARE values.
• Reports to RN/Nurse Manager and may supervise Nurse Extern and other roles.

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Associate degree in nursing.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Required Experience:

• None.

Preferred Experience:

• Two (2) or more years of RN experience.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as an RN in accordance with Florida’s Nurse Practice Act.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited American Heart Association (AHA) instructor.
• Other specialized life support requirements designated by work area.
