Job summary

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy unit. The RN provides pre-, intra- and post-procedure care, and may circulate or scrub in the Endoscopy room, following established procedures and team guidance.

Requirements include AS/Diploma/Regency Degree, WV RN license, CPR, PALS, ACLS, CEUs, and at least one year of Medical-Surgical experience; endoscopy experience is preferred. Shifts are determined by the hiring manager.

Qualifications

• ASN/Diploma/Regency Degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current WV RN license required.
• Maintains CEUs for licensure.
• CPR required.
• PALS required (within one year).
• ACLS required (within one year).
• CGRN preferred.
• Specialty certification preferred.
• One year of Medical-Surgical experience required
• Prior Endoscopy experience preferred
• Advanced Therapeutic Endo experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Coordinate care for a group of patients and supervise other patient care staff.
• Consult with health care team when indicated.
• Assist in endoscopy procedures as circulating and/or scrub in the Endoscopy room.

The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.

The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients, and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated. The Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for the excellent care of the patient pre-, intra and post-procedure during endoscopy and/or pulmonary procedures. He/she also provides circulating and/or scrub services in the Endoscopy room during Gastrointestinal and Pulmonary procedures and assists the endoscopy team as needed in any other capacities, according to established procedures.

The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
