Job summary

Saint Joseph Jessamine, RJ Corman Ambulatory Care Center, part of CHI Saint Joseph Health within CommonSpirit Health, seeks an RN to provide high-quality care in a 24/7 emergency setting in Jessamine County, Kentucky.

The role requires a Kentucky RN license, an Associate’s degree in nursing with BSN to be completed within 5 years, and proficiency in life support protocols (BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC). The nurse will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science Nursing required at hire.
• BSN must be completed within 5 years of hire; new hires have 2 years to enroll.
• KY RN license required at hire.
• BLS CPR compliance within 14 days.
• ACLS compliance within 90 days.
• PALS completion within 6 months.
• TNCC completion within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
• Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical thinking skills to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
• Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
• Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
• Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
