Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to provide nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The RN will apply the nursing process across care settings and remains accountable for ongoing professional development and practice within regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes patient advocacy, safe care delivery, and adherence to the health system's mission and nursing philosophy. Applicants must hold Ohio RN licensure and BLS; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if a new graduate nurse.
• BSN preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
• A nurse who is returning to acute care after five+ years may need a refresher course.
• BLS certification
• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice

• The RN utilizes the nursing process in providing care in collaboration with other health care providers.
• RN is accountable for own professional development and practice within legal scope.
• Acts as patient advocate for safe care, including delegation and participation in improvement activities.
