Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, following nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. You will coordinate care with all assigned staff and uphold high standards of practice.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, GA RN licensure, and BLS; new graduates are welcome with preference for hospital experience and specialty certifications where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing (Required).
• New graduates eligible (No experience required).
• Nursing experience in hospital setting preferred.
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions preferred.
• Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNCL multistate license required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
