Job summary

AdventHealth Ocala is seeking a registered nurse (RN) in the ER to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will perform assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, document in the EMR, and collaborate with the care team.

Requirements include RN license, Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), 1+ year ER experience, ACLS/BLS/PALS, strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to work nights.

Qualifications

• RN license (Registered Nurse) is required.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications preferred.
• 1+ year ER RN experience within the last 12 months.

Compensation

• $10,000 Sign on Bonus available for eligible candidates

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
