Job summary

Piedmont HealthCare in Macon, GA seeks a Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care across the patient lifecycle, guiding care using nursing processes and coordinating with the team for quality outcomes.

The role requires Georgia RN licensure, BLS, and optional advanced certifications; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates with growth opportunities within the system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Required)
• RN licensure in Georgia (Required)
• BLS certification (Required)
• ACLS/PALS certifications required for ED addendum (within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Functions within the policies and procedures of Piedmont and demonstrates professional growth and accountability.
• Coordinates patient care activities of assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required - New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

Addendum

• Emergency Department: Additional Required Certifications: ACLS and PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification. within 180 Days Required
