Summary of Job Duties: Schedule: Fulltime. This position will fill multiple roles. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department and Trauma Center, serving over 55,000 patients annually. Educational opportunities include ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications, and instructor certifications. The ED aims for 100% of nursing staff to become Certified Emergency Nurses (CEN).

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate's, Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's)
• Valid RN License
• At least 1 year of RN experience
• Excellent communication, basic computer skills, strong work ethics, and accountability
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS certifications within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years nursing experience with current BLS, CEN, or TCRN

Additional Information:

• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning
• Administer medications and support team members
• Deliver care per nursing principles and standards, delegate care appropriately

RN must adhere to the Nurse Practice Act of Arkansas and institutional policies, and be capable of donning PPE including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR.

Physical activity requirements include constant, frequent, and occasional physical activities, with specific weight lifting and environmental considerations.
