Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is recruiting an experienced RN for night shifts to provide direct nursing care and coordinate patient treatment plans.

The role requires an RN license in good standing, BLS, ACLS and PALS (upon hire or within one year), with at least 1 year in acute care or ED settings. Expect a fast-paced environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS certification through AHA or Red Cross and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within hire or 12 months.
• One year of acute care RN or ED experience, or licensed military RN experience.
• TNCC (adult) or ENPC (pediatric) within hire or 24 months.

• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide direct nursing care.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department
• One year of current acute care RN or ED experience OR licensed military RN experience
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
